A. Kid's Creative Experience Summer Camps
1. Artistic Spa Experience $95
Kids use premium grade materials and learn what colors, fragrances and all natural botanicals can do to create fun candles, soaps, lotions and aromatherapy jars. Make great gifts or a fun summer adventure! Five personalized spa projects in four days of fun. (Projects are school age appropriate. Moms are welcome to join the fun and participate with younger children. Teens and tweens are welcome too!)

From traditional stained glass sun catchers to glass fusing and more, kids will experience the world of glass through the eyes of a glass artist. 4. Jewelry Experience $95
Your jewelry maker will delight in this series of fast paced wearable projects. Kids will experience a wide variety of materials including fine silver, polymer clay, copper wire, glass and crystal. Complete multiple bracelets, pendant necklaces, pin and earrings (clip or pierced) they’ll love showing off to their friends. All materials are included. (OK – now I know this is for kids – but moms – you’d love this experience camp too!)

5. Drawing Experience $95
Watch your child's creative energy come alive with a hands-on drawing experience. During this special week kids will learn about a variety of tools available for drawing as well as the basics of drawing lifelike animal. Rendering furry friends that have expression can be entertaining as well as educational. All materials in a kit to go home are included. (This Creative Experience Camp is a great addition to Kid’s Drawing I from Gallery’s Choice.) (Fun for all ages!)
6. Watercolor Painting Experience $95
This camp makes watercolors fun and easy and focuses on completing several small special watercolor paintings and craft projects your kids will love! New techniques are learned in this fast-paced creative experience that augments our regular Kid’s Watercolor class. No experience required! All materials, premium grade watercolor papers and paints are provided. (Ages 7+)
7. Acrylic Painting Experience $95
Kids experience the joys of painting with easy to use acrylics and a series of fun techniques. Learn to transfer and image onto canvas, use color values to explore shapes and refine realistic images for a traditional painting. Experience painting on the unusual! Finish with some creative play for an artful abstract. Multiple paintings and creative projects will be accomplished. No experience required. All paints, canvases and other materials provided. (Ages 7+)
8. Ceramics Magic Experience $95
Build your first ceramic works using multiple hand building methods. Create with gray, terracotta and stoneware clays. Pinch a pot, coil a vessel, fashion an artistic tile in bas relief, and work 3-D to sculpt, mold and model. Make several works which may include: candle holders, tiles, vessels, jewelry, wall hangings. Glazes add a finishing touch! Ceramic works will be dried and bisque fired off-site and will require later pickup. (Ages 7+)
Create unique individual designs while learning the basics of stamp carving, silk painting, paper card making and acrylic painting. Teaches how to stretch one medium into another to build to the grand finale - a one-of-a-kind multi-media creation! (Ages 7+)
10. Artistic Glass Jewelry Experience $95
In this 4 session series kids will experience the raw and powerful beauty of glass as they design and complete several jewelry projects. From painted glass pins to fused glass necklaces, glass casting and simple bead stringing, there's something for everyone in this glass experience class. For the young at heart - a playfull look at handbuilt objects. From animals to cupcakes, you never know what you might experience. You will, however, learn how fun making your own decorative ceramics can be! No experience required. All tools, glazes and materials provided. (Ages 7+)

B. Kid's Art Classes – Skills Based
1. Kids Drawing I $95
4 Sessions / 2 hours - A great start for any kid wanting to explore formal instruction. Drawing skills are critical to the pursuit of many forms of art media. Learn the basics through this fun and interactive work. Class is adjustable to challenge kids of various ages and skill levels. Explore various techniques and materials (all provided). This series imparts practical knowledge that will improve your ability to draw, even if you've never tried drawing before! Repeat students also welcome to continue building on your talents. We change the subject matter so you can feel free to repeat the course and improve your skills. Topics covered include: Lines and Light, Spatial Perspectives and Life in the Shadows! All ages, all levels welcome.
2. Kids Watercolor I $95
4 Sessions / 2 hours - This skills-based course introduces the concepts of controlling pigment, water and paper to create masterful watercolor paintings in a step-by-step approach to learning. Students will learn incrementally and practice various techniques including washes, wet-on-wet application, wet-on-dry and dry brush application of watercolor to achieve special effects. Several small “masterpieces” will be completed to provide young students with confidence and a sense of accomplishment. No experience is required. 3. Beginning Oil Painting $139
4 Sessions / 2 hours - This skills-based course introduces young artists to the media of the masters. Learn how to prepare various materials for oil painting, see dark and light, and work the painting through various stages of “roughing in” to completion. Introduction to Glass Fusing
Understand the alchemy of glass and get started with fused glass by making this interesting beginner fused glass project. Learn about glass compatibility, annealing and basic kiln operation. We’ll help you with the basic glass cutting techniques to get you started. All tools and supplies are included – so you can just have fun and get creative! Design your piece in one session. We’ll fire it and have it ready for pick up by the following week. Families/kids welcome. $95
Beginning Lampworking (Glass Beads)
Bead making is HOT! Jewelry is more fun when you create your own, one-of-a-kind components. Learn the “secret” art of lampworking. This class gets you started with all the tools, safety information and techniques for working with Moretti (soft) glass. Students will explore the amazing properties of molten glass and create beautiful, interesting miniature works of art. In this introduction you will master round beads, pull your own decorative stringers and learn how to use dots, stringers and raking techniques to embellish your beads. This course requires purchase of the Bead Maker’s Starter Kit (a $110 value). Come to class prepared with one can of MAPP gas (yellow canister - available hardware stores.)
