This jewelry class provides basics metalsmithing techniques. By cutting, shaping and texturing various materials, students begin to understand the basics of working with metal to form their own unique jewelry designs. Students will work with jewelry saws, rasps, diamond files, texture hammers, drills, polishers and hand tools. All tools are provided.

The Art of Chainmaille


Basics with Byzantine

One of the most widely recognized and beautiful chainmaille weaves, the Byzantine chain is the base for many other jewelry designs. This intro class will not only teach you how to make a beautiful chained bracelet, but also provides useful information on how to use basic chainmaille tools, the correct way to open and close rings, how to choose the right materials for your projects and how to work with ring sizes and measurements.

All materials and instructions are included. Use our tools in studio.





Japanese Lace Bracelet

Delicate and feminine, the Japanese lace weave is a fast favorite of chainmaille enthusiasts. This class provides all materials and instruction for you to create your own 3 row lace bracelet. Proper handling of rings and use of tools will be explained. The result with be a beautiful, durable bracelet that will last for years!



Chainmaille Flower Pendant

Colorful, simple and fun, this patterned chainmaille is a great starting place for maillers of all ages. Students can choose their favorite colorways to customize their work! Pendant is made of anodized aluminum which makes it economical and light weight.
